Dawn Conway joined the Canadian Foundation for Climate and Atmospheric Sciences, as Executive Director, in 2001. From 1996 - 2001 she was Director of McGill University's Office of International Research. Prior to that, she held the position of Director, International Programs, at the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada. Ms. Conway has also managed social and natural sciences activities at the Canadian Commission for UNESCO. Her professional interests include research policy, funding and management, the promotion of international academic cooperation and the popularization of science. She is a member of the steering committee of the International Group of Funding Agencies for Global Change Research (IGFA). Ms. Conway is a graduate of the University of Ottawa, and received a Diplôme des études supérieures spécialisées (D. E. S. S.) in Regional Management, from the Université de sciences et techniques de Languedoc (France).
